Description

I bought these approx. 1/28 scale diecast metal Civil War limbers and Civil War caissons a good 15 years or more ago in Gettysburg, PA. I was going to paint them artillery green to display with 1/32 and 1/30th Civil War toy soldiers I have that are metal or plastic. I like to set up big battle scenes on large floors in order to recreate battles, using dice and rulers to play the game. The caissons and limbers are full functional and used to carry bee-bees (simulating cannon balls). The paint to paint these diecast full-metal pieces artillery green is in the box. One it runs out, you just need to buy more of the same product. The colors to use are on the paper inserts, showing a fully painted caisson and limber you can copy when painting. The box contains 4 limbers and 2 caissons. Caissons have two limber boxes on them and could carry a double set of crew- 4 to 6 artillerymen on them. I have put the paint in small zip-lock bags to ensure there is no leaking of paint. You don't have to use paint with these to use them in big play reenactment battles. You can use bee-bees from a bee-bee gun, and put them, the bee-bees, in the caisson boxes and limber boxes. Every time you fire a cannon, you can deduct one bee-bee from the limber or caisson box.
