An original souvenir of the looting of Fairfax Courthouse, Virginia- a Confederate States of America Invoice for forage for Cooper's Battery , dated April 1st, 1864 and signed by Captain Thomas Tabb as AQM. The 1p 8 x 6" Invoice on brown Confederate paper has an ink inscription on the reverse" Picked up by Wm. Millhouse at the sacking of Fairfax Courthouse during the Rebellion". Comes w service info. Confederate Captain Thomas Tabb served with thw 3rd Virginia Infantry.. The person who picked up the Invoice, William Millhouse could have been one of 3 Union soldiers with that name. One was a member of the 49th Pennsylvania Infantry who was killed a month later at Spottsylvania Court House. The Invoice has folds and a small tear at one fold but is Overall VG with minor edge wear and age stains. Welcome to my Ebay Store.
