Historic Port Royal South Carolina was HQ for the US Navy Atlantic Squadron and the the main supply depot for Army operations in the Carolinas. An original Civil War Union Army Invoice of Ordnance issued at Port Royal, listing 100s of artillery shells including Schenkl and Hotchkiss Percussion shells and case shot, fuzed shells, solid shot and spherical case, issued May 29, 1864 to Captain Robert A Stantion , Chief of Ordnance, and signed by Lt Morris Shaff. 1p 8 x 11" ptd/ink. Age stains, edge wear, Overall VG. Comes w service info.
