Beautiful gilted brass, early 1-piece, Vermont Militia coat button. The gilted brass variety of this button was used by the Vermont artillery and is considered rare by Tice. This button is listed in Tice as VT205A1. and in Albert's as VT5. The reverse has a raised R & W ROBINSON . ATTLEBOURGH . * . * . *. EXTRA . * . * . * . RICH backmark. The shank is straight.
