Description
RARE and original Civil War faux-embroidered Union Artillery cap badge. Mild to moderate patina. Die struck brass measures 2 5/8" wide. Four attachment loops to the reverse are still intact but bent and a I dear not attempt to bend them back. These were usually attacked to a felt oval worn by officers. A piece you rarely find in this condition. Produced from 1855-1865. Likely a Bannerman piece. Please judge condition for yourself based on the pictures.
