For your consideration is this Wm. Rogers silver plate serving spoon in the "San Diego" pattern, ca. 1889, a rather rare, hard to find pattern. I know that I have owned and sold a lot of patterns over the years, but have never had this one. The spoon is 8 1/4" long. It is in very good condition with a few small exceptions. There is a small "burr" on the front side of the handle, almost halfway down on one side, most likely there from the making. If i had a small pair of sharp side cutters, I could probably remove it, but I don't. There are also a few small cut marks on the back of the handle. For a piece of flatware that is 135 years old, it is really good looking. ALL of my silver plate that I sell is polished. It might not be that way when I receive it, but it sure will be when you receive it. I pride myself on selling clean items that have good honest descriptions, so that you know what you are buying.
