Hello, you are bidding on 1 rare Civil War Canister Shot from an exploded Artillery Canister. These have a diameter of about 1". Canister shot was placed in a canister and packed in using pitch and sulphur... In the middle of the canister stand would be the black powder bursting charge that would explode sending the canister shot flying in all directions. These were dug Chattanooga, Tennessee.
